Oggi sì: Dea Solar Consulting S.R.L.S.

Fonte: Documento Tecnico Consolidato Rev. 2.8

  1. geometria dell'apertura per la presa (determina lo stampo della custodia);
  2. peso a prodotto finito (stima 15-19 kg);
  3. dissipazione termica dei componenti e sovratemperatura interna;
  4. misuratore fiscale: verifica della catena dei certificati MID per il codice fornito;
  5. verifica di IP66 e IK10 sulla custodia realizzata;
  6. campo dei diametri di palo coperto dal fissaggio e resistenza delle colonne posteriori;

Fonte: Documento Tecnico Consolidato Rev. 2.8

Accesso, pagamento, piattaforma e dati

Current status and proposal

No. Today there is no station in operation and no physical unit of the device: this is our starting point, and we state it because every later step is measured from here.

What exists: the complete engineering (electrical diagram, bill of materials, cost schedule, enclosure drawing), the Consolidated Technical Document, two patent applications and a trademark filed, an identified supply chain, a working app prototype, a 2027-2031 business plan with stated assumptions.

What does not exist yet: the physical unit, the grant of the patents, CE marking with laboratory tests, the formal point-by-point verification of the electrical design, the production platform and app, real operating data.

At Smart City Expo World Congress (Barcelona, 3-5 November 2026) we bring a full-scale display model: it is only a non-working display model, to show shape and size.

Source: Operator presentation Rev. 1.5

Complete engineering and patents filed, no physical unit yet: maturity between TRL 3 and 4 (TRL is the technology readiness scale, from 1 to 9). The programme for the next 18 months leads to the physical unit, CE marking and a pilot field on the street.

Source: Operator presentation Rev. 1.5; Operator fact sheet Rev. 2.3

So far the project has been carried forward and funded by the founder, with no external capital: engineering, patent applications and supply chain have gone as far as was possible on that basis alone. From here on, structure and capital are needed: the physical unit is the first step of the programme funded by the pre-seed round, together with the verification of the design by a qualified professional.

The programme needs structure and capital: the plan asks for 650,000 euro of pre-seed for 18 months (physical unit, CE marking and a pilot field of 27 units with six months of data), then 250,000 euro to industrialise and deliver the first batch of 250 units.

From a public lighting operator we ask, in this order:

  1. The pilot, as host or purchased. Route A: pilot field funded by our pre-seed round, with the operator acting as host (sites, permits, operation). Route B: pre-series units purchased by the operator, with payments at order, at delivery and monthly.
  2. A non-binding letter of intent, as market feedback for whoever funds the programme; once the data are in, a conditional order for the first batch. Form of the commitment and payments for the batch are defined together, with whoever finances production.
  3. An industrial partner, if you wish: entry into the share capital is assessed after the pilot, on the data.

Source: Business plan 2027-2031 Rev. 1.6, section 15 (amounts); Operator presentation Rev. 1.5; Operator fact sheet Rev. 2.3

Base pilot: 27 units, 54 sockets, on three sites (three streets of 9 poles on a 70 kW three-phase point of delivery, or equivalent configurations). Extended pilot: 36 units, 72 sockets. They are pre-series units, identical to series units, with the enclosure in its final shape.

Who does what. The operator provides sites, permits, installation and operation. Dea Solar Consulting handles technical direction, physical unit, CE marking, pre-series, platform integration, spare parts and firmware.

Grid connection. In route A, grid connection, installation and parking bays are covered by the plan, unless otherwise agreed with an industrial partner; the request to the distribution system operator is made by the host operator, as holder of the point. In route B, as in series supply, they are borne by the customer.

What is measured: charging hours per socket per night, availability of 97 per cent or higher, session start via NFC in a few seconds, consistency between fiscal meter and supply meter, interventions and causes, installation times.

Three non-exclusive ways of working together remain open: supply of the device to the operator, with a software management fee; direct operation under concession by Dea Solar Consulting, with a fee to the municipality of 3-5 per cent of net revenue; manufacturing licence on the patents. Entry into the share capital as an industrial partner is assessed after the pilot, on the data: we do not rule it out.

Today it is: Dea Solar Consulting S.R.L.S. is being converted into an S.r.l. (limited company), with registration in the special section for innovative start-ups under way.

Protection for the customer is set out in the contract: escrow of bill of materials, drawings, technical file and firmware, released to the operator in defined cases; device on a standard protocol, operable on any platform; 24-month warranty on the assembled product and spare parts for ten years.

Structure is one of the reasons for the round: the plan provides for dedicated people from the first months.

Product

DEAVOLT URBAN GRID™ is an electric vehicle charging system mounted on existing public lighting poles, with no excavation and no new land take. It is supplied by its own point of delivery, electrically separate from the lighting system: the pole is only a mechanical support.

Two Type 2 sockets of 3.7 kW each, alternating current, Mode 3; enclosure 600 × 300 × 170 mm, 15-19 kg (estimate). No display, no card reader: the user holds the phone to the socket's NFC tag, or uses the QR code and the app. No cable installed: the vehicle's own cable is used.

Source: Operator fact sheet Rev. 2.3; Consolidated Technical Document Rev. 2.8

Each socket has its own protection: a Type A RCBO with 6 mA DC detection according to IEC 62955, one per socket (an RCBO is a combined residual current and overcurrent circuit breaker), and a dedicated contactor. The socket is live only with a vehicle connected and an authorised session, and a fault on one socket does not stop the other. Settings, coordination and detailed choices are confidential documentation.

The detail is confidential: available after signing the mutual non-disclosure agreement. Write to us, we reply in writing.

Yes: two Type 2 sockets (IEC 62196-2) with shutters on the live contacts and connector locking, one on each side. Case B connection: the socket is on the station, the cable is the user's.

Source: Operator fact sheet Rev. 2.3; Operator presentation Rev. 1.5

Among the qualification requirements for the controller is automatic release of the connector on the station side in the event of power loss or fault, with no intervention inside the device: the user is not left with a locked cable.

Source: Consolidated Technical Document Rev. 2.8

It is a requirement of the use case: residential on-street charging must last as long as the overnight stay and finish in the morning, not in the middle of the night leaving a charged car parked at the socket.

Power per socketFull 18 kWh session

Enclosure IP66 and IK10 as specification requirements (tests on the built enclosure are still to be carried out); assembled unit IP54, equal to the socket rating and above the IP44 minimum required by CEI 64-8 for outdoor charging points. IP is the protection rating against dust and water, IK the impact resistance.

Fibreglass 600 × 300 × 170 mm, light colour (a thermal requirement: a light shell reduces the internal temperature), Class I appliance, six visible anti-vandal screws, halogen-free. Flat back with two external columns moulded with the shell, for fixing with collars. The dark images in communication materials are only an aesthetic rendering.

Seven, stated at the opening of the Technical Document:

  1. geometry of the socket opening (it determines the enclosure mould);
  2. finished product weight (estimate 15-19 kg);
  3. heat dissipation of the components and internal temperature rise;
  4. fiscal meter: verification of the MID certificate chain for the supplied code;
  5. verification of IP66 and IK10 on the built enclosure;
  6. range of pole diameters covered by the fixing and strength of the rear columns;
  7. short-circuit coordination of the contactors.

Electrical installation and point of delivery

From a dedicated low-voltage point of delivery, never from the lighting system. The hardware is identical in the three configurations: one parameter changes.

Point of deliveryPoles suppliedPower per socket
Single-phase 6 kW12.8 kW
Three-phase 40 kW6 (two per phase)3.1 kW
Three-phase 70 kW9 (three per phase)3.7 kW

The grid connection is separate and is requested by the holder of the point; the timing depends on the distribution system operator.

Source: Operator fact sheet Rev. 2.3; Operator presentation Rev. 1.5

Yes: Class II of the lighting system does not prevent installation, because the unit has its own point of delivery, with its own protective conductor and earth electrode.

The device requires a protective conductor permanently connected and verified up to each socket. The earthing configuration (protective conductor, earth electrode, treatment of the metal pole) is defined in the site electrical design, according to the class of the lighting system and the condition of the pole.

Source: Operator fact sheet Rev. 2.3; Consolidated Technical Document Rev. 2.8

It runs inside the pole as a separate installation, with no connection to the lighting system, and it is labelled at the base door because it stays live even when the lighting is isolated. Laying and detailed specifications are confidential documentation.

The detail is confidential: available after signing the mutual non-disclosure agreement. Write to us, we reply in writing.

Yes: an emergency shutdown control is provided in the point-of-delivery switchboard, in a marked position, separate from the isolation for maintenance.

Source: Consolidated Technical Document Rev. 2.8

On three-phase points the poles go in multiples of three, spread across the phases: the design constraint is the current per phase, not the site power. Both sockets deliver even when used at the same time.

Pole and installation

Fixing is by two stainless steel collars with EPDM rubber, with no drilling of the pole. The power cable normally enters from the back, through a single 20-22 mm hole; where the operator prefers not to touch the pole there are variants with no hole, quoted separately. No civil works; installation estimated at under four hours per unit, grid connection excluded, to be verified on the first physical unit.

Drawings and fixing details are confidential: available after signing the mutual non-disclosure agreement. Write to us, we reply in writing.

Source: Operator fact sheet Rev. 2.3; Operator presentation Rev. 1.5

UNI EN 40-3-3 does not prohibit drilling: it requires the pole's strength to be verified at every opening. The cable hole is therefore made with the operator's consent and with a calculation check signed by a qualified professional on the actual pole.

Source: Operator presentation Rev. 1.5

The additional load is 15-19 kg in the lower part of the pole. The suitability check remains with the operator or the designer, site by site: unsuitable poles are excluded, not reinforced. The unit is designed for ordinary public lighting poles. On passively safe poles, installation requires the approval of the pole manufacturer.

Source: Operator presentation Rev. 1.5

Only where the cable does not obstruct pedestrians: poles flush with the kerb with an adjacent bay, car parks, verges. If there is a pavement between the pole and the bay, the site is excluded. Reserved bay, signage and orders are the operator's, with our technical documentation (in route A of the pilot they are covered by the plan).

Access, payment, platform and data

First of all with the socket's NFC tag, with cryptographic authentication: the user holds the phone near it and the start screen opens with the socket already selected. The QR code, the app with geolocation and the printed socket number remain available. The user's phone never talks to the device: the session start always comes from the central system.

Source: Operator fact sheet Rev. 2.3; Operator presentation Rev. 1.5

Yes: one MID-compliant meter per socket (Directive 2014/32/EU (MID), EN 50470-3), class B. The energy billed to each user is measured by a dedicated certified instrument, not derived by difference.

Source: Operator fact sheet Rev. 2.3; Consolidated Technical Document Rev. 2.8

It is an open point: the obligations for periodic verification of instruments in service are being ascertained with the competent metrology office and may involve a recurring operating cost.

Source: Consolidated Technical Document Rev. 2.8

The station communicates with the central system using OCPP 1.6, being upgraded to 2.0.1 (OCPP is the open protocol between station and platform), over 4G, with no platform lock-in: the operator's own, if it exists, or one from a provider being selected. Firm condition: switching to another platform without loss of history and without penalties. Today there is a working app prototype.

Personal and commercial data (customers, prices, revenue) belong to the operator. Technical and usage indicators of the device, aggregated and anonymous, may be used by Dea Solar Consulting also with third parties, without naming the operator or the sites. The operator's name and public communications require its consent.

Public lighting tenders and contracts

No. DEAVOLT URBAN GRID™ has its own point of delivery and draws no energy from the lighting system. What remains on the pole is a mechanical load, to be authorised.

Source: Operator presentation Rev. 1.5

Where the tender is still to be written, the service enters as an improvement element of the technical offer. Where the contract is in progress, a modification under art. 120 of Legislative Decree 36/2023 is needed, to be assessed case by case. In upgrades it is installed during relamping, with crews and equipment already on site.

To write the bid: specification sheet with item, requirements and installation prescriptions; consolidated technical document; principle electrical diagram. For technical review: list of standards and test plan, allocation of responsibilities, pole suitability criteria. Documents available on request.

Market and charging hours

We reason in charging hours per socket per night. Each unit has two sockets, each working on its own; the typical overnight stay is eight to ten hours.

Three-phase 70 kW3.7 kW4 h 50 min1 h 40 min3 h 23 min

Stated assumptions: price to the customer 0.50 euro/kWh excluding VAT; energy bought at 0.32 euro/kWh net of VAT; 700 euro per year of operating costs per unit; municipal fee at 5 per cent of net revenue, the maximum of the 3-5 per cent range (with a lower fee the hours go down); full break-even repays over ten years the full industrial cost of a first-batch unit, grid connection excluded.

Car rotation: each car takes a full charge every three nights; 2 rotating cars per unit are enough for break-even, 6 rotating cars fill the unit (one full charge per socket every night).

Foreign reference: in the United Kingdom, points below 50 kW deliver less than one full session per day (Zapmap, Q3 2025); the 2 h 26 min is our own elaboration on the same data. British lamp-post chargers have one socket per pole, DEAVOLT URBAN GRID™ two.

The per-session and per-year figures are shared under the mutual non-disclosure agreement.

Source: Operator fact sheet Rev. 2.3

In Italy there are 454,437 battery electric cars on the road (Motus-E, 01/10/2026) and there is still no residential on-street network in operation, only demonstration pilots (Brescia 2025, A2A press release, 10/02/2025). 62 per cent of Italian homes have no garage or private parking space, rising to 79-89 per cent in the large cities (idealista, 03/2024).

In the eight sample cities (Rome, Milan, Turin, Naples, Palermo, Genoa, Florence, Trieste) we estimate, prudently, about 2.9 million cars spending the night on the street. Battery electric cars among them are about 32,000 today. For 2030 the Politecnico di Milano (Smart Mobility Report 2026) estimates 3.1 million electric cars in Italy in the business-as-usual scenario, plug-in hybrids included, while PNIEC 2024 sets a target of 4.3 million battery electric cars only: they are two different measures and we do not project them onto the eight cities.

Each car takes a full charge every three nights: with 2 rotating cars per unit at break-even, the battery electric cars that spend the night on the street in the eight cities today would already support about 16,000 units at break-even. Our plan provides for 1,600 units by 2031. It is a potential, not a forecast.
